The welcome newsletter was developed early, and changed often throughout the years.  It explained, at any given stage, what the a touch of william ministries were, what they were all about, how each functioned, and how to connect with them more fully.  The rose photo graced almost every version of this newsletter.  The only copy of the welcome newsletter I still had in my files when I was working on this, is the form you see above.  Though not much different in style, it was created in December 2002, utilizing the new website address.

At that time the newsletter was shortened to just two pages.  It began, as always, with The Baffling Call of God article from the first ("SHARING" #001, April 1995) newsletter I sent out.  Then continued with this simple message . . .

This welcome issue is sent to new and reinstating members of the poet's circle, for a little background and some general information.  Please take time to at least glance through, so you will be familiar with the opportunities, benefits, workings, and what the five heartbeats of a touch of william are all about.

My poem "Be Not afraid" completed the first page.  The only history in the final 2002 version was of the poet's circle itself.  I have not reproduced information and articles here, because they were so diverse, and are all already available on other pages throughout this site.  But, one small piece included in the welcome issue, still relevant, quoted from the SHARING #010 issue (June 1998) read . . .

AS WE PROCEED . . . . .

Please understand, when I share with you, it is not like someone who has arrived at some distant destination, and is sending you a postcard saying what a perfect place this is.  It is more like sending you a few pages of an ongoing journal, fairly current, and filled with the questions, doubts, and the emotions of daily choices.

Today, the poet's circle is a part of the Teaching & Sharing Centers 501c3 public charity.  As of 2009, the corporation's welcome note, though quite basic, still includes The Baffling Call of God article on the back as my personal way of inviting you into participation with this ongoing story.

welcome . . .
