Teaching & Sharing Centers - Michigan Living History Encampment

The [original] Teaching & Sharing Center had been a behind the scenes help with the fur trader (voyageur) encampment during Grand Ledge's Fall Color Cruise & Island Festival since 1990.  In October 2005, it became the sole responsibility of the T&SC corporation.

Today, the Michigan Living History Encampment is a part of the Teaching & Sharing Centers non-profit corporation.  Though as an active teaching & sharing center, it currently only exists four days per year, it is an exceptional learning experience for those who take the time to visit with our presenters.  Several re-enactors from the original program still participate in the MLHE.  Both they and our new additions bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the event.

Some photos from 2005 appear on the T&SC page.  Additional photos can also be seen in the photo galleries and pages of Grand Ledge's Fall Color Cruise & Island Festival.  Contact information can be found in our "Who We Are" page.
